OUR STORY
Hanwell Hounds was established in 2016 by Andrew Seddon. who used to live and work in the Arctic Circle where he trained as a Dog Sledding Instructor. Originally based in Finnish Lapland with Siberian Huskies, Malamutes and Alaskan Huskies. He later relocated to Norway to work with Katinka Mossin (famed Greenpeace Explorer and the first Non-Greenland Breeder and Trainer of the Greenland Huskie.) He also trained and handled teams which competed in numerous sledding races throughout the Arctic Circle.
So with this knowledge, unusual skillset and an absolute love of dogs Andrew decided to put it to the test here in Hanwell and established:

HOME
ENVIRONMENT
Looking for that home from home feeling? Dogs become part of our family during their stay with Hanwell Hounds. No kennels used. Just home from home living in our doggy paradise.
REGULAR
PUPDATES
We know how daunting it can be leaving your dog. We keep owners up to date with regular photo and video updates via WhatsApp throughout their stay so you are always kept in the loop.
PROFESSIONAL
CARE
We are fully insured with (Protectivity Insurance) & (Pet Business Insurance), Canine first aid trained, hold an enhanced DBS Certificate. And have been awarded the regulated (Level Three Qualification in Daycare and Boarding by The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers). So you can be sure your dog is in safe hands.
ADULT ONLY HOUSEHOLD
We provide care in a quiet adult only household with no visiting children. Great for dogs who are apprehensive, fearful or are not used to being around children.
VERY IMPORTANT POOCH VIP
We specialise in small groups, quality over quantity! Many dogs find large packs overwhelming or overstimulating. We carefully vet every new dog who joins us to make sure they are suitable for the group.
CONSTANT SUPERVISION
We don’t believe you should be paying to have your dog left alone. We provide human companionship throughout your dogs stay. Perfect for nervous or dogs not used to being left alone.
SERVICES
BOARDING & DAYCARE
When we board a dog we have a maximum rule of 5. This is because we would rather focus all of our attention on our guests and know how important each dogs stay with us is.
Your dog/s will go on long walks in the Buckinghamshire countryside. They will be very well looked after and much loved in a comfortable family home & garden.
We do not use our own crates (unless one is provided).
Vaccinations inc Kennel cough vaccine, flea treatments and worming must all be up to date.
All dogs must be well socialised.
All dogs will be collected and dropped off.
We are fully insured by both Protectivity Insurance and Pet Business insurance.
We have received training in Dog First Aid by the only accredited Dog First Aid Course in the UK.
